BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER

Buff-breasted Sandpiper has been recorded annually in Cornwall since 1977 with the exception of 1990, 1993, 2001 and 2002. Occurances of more three individuals together are:
1977 - Porthgwarra (4) one on 31 Aug, four on 4 Sep and possibly as many as eight 25 Sep and Predannack Airfield (5) 10 Sep, two on 11 Sep, three on 17 Sep
1980 - Predannack Airfield (4) 14 - 15 Sep
1989 - Near Kynance (4) on 5 + 16 Sep, four 17 - 24 Sep
1994 - Kynance (4) 18 Sep
2005 - Colliford 1st Sept (4 juvs)
