St LevanYellow-browed Warbler still in sallows and Grey Gables garden at 0940hrs

St IvesSnow Bunting still at Buttermilk Hill. Also Ring Ouzel 

Lost on Sat 7th Oct – Manfrotto tripod with dark green carrying harness, left probably at Hayle Estuary RSPB, may have been left in the car park or the hide at Ryans Field. If found please    contact us via the website, Thank you!

Tuesday 10th October 2017 Cornwall Bird Sightings

Wadebridge Glossy Ibis flew over Wadebridge towards Walmsley.  Cattle Egret (8) still at Pinkson Creek this afternoon. Hawfinch over Egloshayle and Bittern and Wood Sandpiper at Walmsley Sanctuary (Thanks P.Roseveare and D.Julian)

The LizardRose-coloured Starling (juv) still on wires at Lizard Village (Thanks I.Maclean)

NanquidnoBarred Warbler (juv) at Nanquidno in brambles opposite Nanjulian farm

St JustHawfinch and Firecrest (2) at Kelynack. Also Merlin at Cot Valley (Thanks D.Flumm and S.Woolfries)

NanjizalYellow-browed Warbler (3) and Lesser Whitethroat (possibly eastern form) trapped and ringed at Nanjizal Valley. Please keep to public rights of way

The LizardMarsh Harrier (f) at Windmill Farm NR today.

Lands EndDusky Warbler still behind Swingates House

Nanjizal – Waxwing (2) flew south over Nanjizal Valley. Yellow-browed Warbler (4) trapped and ringed at Nanjizal Valley this morning

St JustRed-breasted Flycatcher still at Kenidjack Valley in layby with white caravan.  Lesser Whitethroat and Firecrest (3) still at Kenidjack Valley. Yellow-browed Warbler still at Cot Valley at 0935hrs

Mullion – Nightingale (2) at Mullion Cove at 1020hrs  (Thanks J.Allely)

Penzance – Rose-coloured Starling (juv) at Morrison’s supermarket this afternoon

Feock – Red-necked Grebe off Loe Beach but no further sign this afternoon. Slavonian Grebe offshore at 1525hrs and BN Grebe (17).

St Just – Wryneck, Yellow-browed Warbler (2) and Siberian Chiffchaff at Kenidjack Valley. Yellow-browed Warbler (2)and Firecrest (2) in Cot Valley. Ring Ouzel (2) at Lands End Airfield (Thanks P.Freestone)

Polgigga – Rose-colored Starling at Polgigga. Short-eared Owl west of Faraway Cottage along coast path

Stithians – Spoonbill (2) at Stithians Reservoir from Stuart Hutchings Hide at 1535hrs

Gwithian – Spoonbill (2) at St Gothian Sands LNR near cafe showing well at 1225hrs. Also Pink-footed Goose, Canada Goose (230+), Wigeon (12), Teal (12), Mallard (4) and Tufted Duck (21) (Thanks V.Stratton and J.St Ledger)

Rock DALMATIAN PELICAN still off Porthilly Beach stood on floating cage off Porthilly Point (Thanks S.Grose and W.Innes)

PerranuthnoeHudsonian Whimbrel still in Boat Cove NT at 1620hrs. Park in Perranuthnoe and take coastal path west to view. Bird present this afternoon though east of Perranuthnoe.

Cape CornwallSiberian Stonechat on golf course inland of car park at Cape Cornwall, still present at 1820hrs on wall east of car park (Thanks A.Harris)

Godrevy – No sign of Isabelline Wheatear at Godrevy head this morning but possible sighting reported at 1400hrs on beach below bottom car park, but Lapland Bunting (4) on grassy area near coastal footpath (Thanks R.Treeby)

Nanjizal – Probable Great Grey Shrike at Faraway Cottage then flew south.

PolgiggaRose-coloured Starling (juv) on Bosistow Lane at Higher/Lower Bosistow at 0810hrs (Thanks M.Wallace)
