St IvesLITTLE AUK flew past St Ives Island between 0740-1020hrs. Also Balearic Shearwater (4), Great Skua (5) and Manx Shearwater. Snow Bunting still on Island

PorthgwarraLeach’s Petrel, Pom Skua, Balearic Shearwater (4), Arctic Skua (3), Puffin and Great Skua (13) past Gwennap Head between 0815-0945hrs

FalmouthRed Kite flew low over Melvill Road at 1200hrs (Thanks R.Matias)

Tuesday 12th February 2013 Cornwall Bird Sightings

Penzance *PACIFIC DIVER* reported from Chyandour  before it flew off strongly to the east at 1600hrs. Great Northern Diver (2), Slavonian Grebe and Common Scoter off Chyandour. Also Black Redstart (2m, 5f), Grey Wagtail, Pied Wagtail (15) and Rock Pipit (6) on beach boulders annex railway. Also Eider offshore (Thanks L.Williams, D.Flumm and P.St Pierre)
