HaylePectoral Sandpiper at Hayle Estuary RSPB on Ryan’s field at 0745hrs

PendeenWilson’s Petrel flew past Pendeen Watch at 1115hrs. Gull-billed Tern flew past Pendeen Watch at 1400hrs. Also Red-necked PhalaropeGreat ShearwaterSabine’s Gull (11), Leach’s Petrel (8), Long-tailed Skua, Balearic Shearwater (9), Great Northern Diver and Storm Petrel (31) flew past Pendeen Watch

Trevose Head – Wilson’s Petrel flew past Trevose Head at 1850hrs. Also Sabine’s Gull, Leach’s Petrel (3), Pom Skua, Balearic Shearwater (3), Sooty Shearwater (3) and Storm Petrel (49)

NewquayLeach’s Petrel (7), Grey Phalarope (5), Arctic Tern (2) and Storm Petrel (2) flew west past Towan Head. Leach’s Petrel and Balearic Shearwater flew past Pentire Point between 1730-1900hrs

MarazionSabine’s Gull offshore from station cafe car park at 0830hrs

TruroOsprey at Truro River/Tresillian River confluence

Downderry – Balearic Shearwater flew west past Downderry this morning

No sign of Lesser Yellowlegs at Devoran at Tallack’s Creek by mid morning but Garganey, Spotted Redshank, Wheatear and Osprey (2) still (Thanks A.Nicholson and J.Rowe)

Report of Lammergeier at Helman Tor was erroneous 

DriftDalmatian Pelican still at Drift reservoir from car park tho distant at 0805hrs, flew over near Newbridge in direction away from Drift reservoir at 0830hrs (Thanks A.Payne). Then back at Drift Reservoir viewed from 1st gate Sancreed side of carpark between from 1300-1330hrs at north end of reservoir (Thanks G.Hobin), still present this evening from car park. Black Kite at Drift reservoir this morning then appeared to roost this evening (Thanks D.Stone)

Dalmatian Pelican, Drift, 24th May, D.Flumm

PolgiggaDalmatian Pelican reported over Polgigga at 11:00. Also Red Kite (8)

Hayle – reported Lesser Yellowlegs was a Greenshank

FalmouthBlack Kite over golf club at 0900hrs. Red Kite (6) flew over central Falmouth at 1345hrs (Thanks S. Van Hear). Red Kite flew over at 1300hrs (Thanks A.Williams). Red Kite (3) over southern end of Argal this morning

Nanjizal – Black Kite at Nanjizal Valley at Faraway Cottage at 09:00. Also Red Kite (12)

St Just – Black Kite flew over St Just at 11:05. Red Kite (120+) in total over St Just in groups as large as 32

Truro – Black Kite flew NE over Royal Cornwall Hospital at 1345hrs. Osprey mobbed by gulls on Truro River viewed SE from Malpas at c12.30 then lost to view behind bend in river, returned c15mins later with fish and flew in Tregothnan Estate direction. Red Kite also over Truro River (Thanks M.Salter). Red Kite over Kea School at 07:20 this morning  (Thanks A.Drouet). Whimbrel (7) on Tresillian River this evening (Thanks A.Nicholson)

Connor Downs – Osprey flew NE over Connor Down at 15:20 (Thanks P.Freestone)

The Lizard – Red Kite (120+) reported mostly to North of Village. Red Kite (11) between Lizard village, Little Trethvas and Cadgwith (Thanks C.Mabon). Red Kite (5) over fields behind Lizard lighthouse at 09:45, drifting north towards the village  (Thanks M & A.Lord). Red Kite (3) south towards Cadgwith at 09:30hrs. Red Kite (2) over Caerthillian Valley at 1030hrs  (Thanks M.Pamphilon). Red Kite (2) quarteing fields between entrance to the village and Mount Hermon at 09:00  (Thanks M & A.Lord and N.George)

Porthgwarra DESERT WHEATEAR at Gwennap Head by coastguard lookout late morning, still present this afternoon (Birdnet)

HayleLESSER YELLOWLEGS reported this morning in creek at Lelant Saltings viewed from Old Quay House car park. (Birdnet). Goosander (4) on Ryans Field at 0845hrs (Thanks P.Jeggo). Great Northern Diver in Carnsew Basin

St Just – DUSKY WARBLER still at Kelynack near caravan on allotments again this morning at 09.30hrs (Birdnet)

Newquay AMERICAN WIGEON (2 fem) at Gannel Estuary late afternoon (Thanks S.Rowe)
