Falmouth – Great Northern Diver off Nansidwell Beach this morning (Thanks J.St Ledger)

Carn Galver – Cuckoo this afternoon (Thanks P.Miles)

Hayle – Whimbrel (3) on Estuary. Also Greenshank on Ryans Field

The Lizard – Lesser Whitethroat (2) at Windmill Farm and Grasshopper warbler (2) (CBWPS)

Wadebridge - Black-tailed Godwit (11) at Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS)

Marazion -  Whimbrel (2), Bar-tailed Godwit (2) and Black-tailed Godwit on the beach and Great Northern Diver offshore. (CBWPS)

Gwithian – Gadwall (male) still on main pool. Also Sedge Warbler (3), Whitehroat (4), Swallow (3), Shelduck (pr with 8 juvs), Canada Goose (2pr with 15 juvs), Mallard (11 males and 3 fem), Raven (1), Sand Martin (4+), Reed Warbler (1) and Swift (5)

Monday 28th April 2014 Cornwall Bird Sightings

Marazion – RED-RUMPED SWALLOW (2+) still at Marazion Marsh RSPB at 1740hrs. Also Swift (2) and Whimbrel (59+) (P.Freestone)

NewquayIceland Gull and Whimbrel (13) on Gannel Estuary. Purple Sandpiper (10) and Wheatear at Towan Head (Thanks D.Grose)

Wednesday 23rd October 2013 Cornwall Bird Sightings

Rosudgeon - *RED-EYED VIREO* until 1530hrs 1ml south of Rosudgeon at Prussia Cove, no further sign by 1700hrs. Use car park and follow track to Kenneggy Sands, view trees by stream after 100yds. Take Prussia Cove turning by chip shop in Rosudgeon, park in car park at end of lane. Take track from between car park and obvious conifers towards Kenneggy. Almost at bottom of hill there is a stream. Turn left into wooded valley and the bird was seen after about 250 yards in open glade. (Thanks M.Bishop). WRYNECK along coastpath near Prussia Cove

PendeenPom Skua (6), Balearic Shearwater (30), Sooty Shearwater (11), Manx Shearwater (14), Great Skua (8), Arctic Skua (14) and Puffin flew past Pendeen watch between 1000-1230hrs

PadstowBalearic Shearwater (10) and Sooty Shearwater (7) at sea between Boscastle and Padstow from RV Endeavour this morning
