Helston – possible **CANVASBACK** (fem/1st W or Hybrid?) at north end of Loe Pool seen with Tufted Ducks in poor light and conditions. **BUFFLEHEAD** (fem/juv) still at Loe Pool at north end this afternoon. Access west off A394 on Degibna Lane from just north of A3083 roundabout then walk north from NT car park

 The Lizard - **BUFFLEHEAD** again on pond west of Housel Bay, SE of Lizard Village. Park in village and walk south along lighthouse road for 1/4 mile then take track left for 200yrds before turning left again along footpath towards Housel Bay SW.706.120. *DUSKY WARBLER* by pond west of Housel Bay late morning. Firecrest (2) also but no sign of Bufflehead at 1200hrs. *DUSKY WARBLER* in willows along footpath between Cadgwith and Ruan Minor at 1405hrs, still present late afternoon. COMMON CRANE (6 ad) still in stubble field at midday (Thanks C.Gleaves and B.Dallas)

Porthgwarra – *DESERT WHEATEAR* (fem) on moor at north end south of Trevean pool. (Present since 19th) Also Wheatear

Wadebridge – Water Pipit (3) and Merlin at Treraven Meadows. Black Redstart (male) still on Glen Road this afternoon. (Thanks C.Selway and D.Julian)

Truro – Black Redstart on Truro Cathedral near entrance at midday

St Austell - Little Gull still at Par beach Pool

Bude – Swallow at Widemouth Bay today (Thanks F.Proudfoot)

Helston - **BUFFLEHEAD** (fem/juv) still at Loe Pool tho elusive. Access west off A394 on Degibna Lane from just north of A3083 roundabout then walk north from NT car park. Firecrest (5) at Sewage works

Antony – GLOSSY IBIS at Wacker Quay briefly at 1300hrs then flew down river. Spotted Redshank and Spoonbill also

Marazion – Snow Bunting still on beach

Hayle – Yellow-legged Gull (ad) on Hayle estuary RSPB from causeway at 1600hrs

Nanquidno – Woodlark (3) at Little Hendra this afternoon

Sennen – Long-tailed Duck in Sennen Cove

Penzance – Snow Bunting on Lighthouse Pier. Purple Sandpiper (16) on Battery rocks

St Minver – Long-eared Owl reported at St Minver this morning (Per A.Langdon)

No sign of Desert Wheatear at Nanjizal

Nanjizal – *DESERT WHEATEAR* (male) still at 1610hrs at seaward end of Nanjizal valley near Mill Bay in Bulb field 200 yards beyond Faraway cottage. Access along footpath opposite Raftra Farm. Also Lapland Bunting (7) and Short-eared Owl, showing well (CB Reports et al)

Torpoint – *GLOSSY IBIS* again in Plymouth Sound then flew from Drake’s Island towards St Johns Lake at 0700hrs, still this afternoon

Wadebridge – COMMON CRANE (c20) flew SW over Wadebridge (Thanks Neil)

Polgigga – COMMON CRANE flew south over Bosistow Lane at 1155hrs (Thanks C.Selway)

Marazion – Snow Bunting still on beach. Bittern at Marazion Marsh RSPB in flight over reeds at midday (Thanks W.Renshaw). Brent Goose (5) off Long Rock then flew off

Falmouth – Med Gull (5) and Black Redstart at Castle beach this morning (Thanks J. St Ledger)

Sennen – Long-tailed Duck, Med Gull (3 ad) and GN Diver offshore

Penzance – Purple Sandpiper (13) on Battery rocks. Firecrest nearby (Sennen Cove Birdwatching)

Antony – Spoonbill (ad) on River Lynher at 1400hrs

Hayle – Yellow-legged Gull and Med Gull (12) (Sennen Cove Birdwatching)

no sign of Great-White Egret at Walmsley Sanctuary this morning

Marazion - unconfirmed report of possible **WILSON’S SNIPE** at Marazion Marsh RSPB along front edge just west of viewing bay this afternoon. Also Bittern. Grey Phalarope at east end of Marazion Marsh RSPB. Also Snow Bunting still on beach. GN Diver offshore

Helston - **BUFFLEHEAD** (fem/juv) again at north end of Loe Pool this morning from Degibna end, tho elusive

Nanjizal - *DESERT WHEATEAR* (male) in valley 1/2ml SE of Bosistow Farm still today in bulb field 200 yards beyond Faraway cottage. Take track from entrance to Faraway cottage that runs towards cove. The bird is generally in the ploughed bulb field on your right. Also Short-eared Owl and Merlin over (Thanks D.Jenkins)

St Buryan – Short-eared Owl (2) by B3283 just east of village at 1145hrs

Truro – Yellow-browed Warbler at Carnon Downs opposite sewage works late afternoon (Thanks M.Grantham)

St Austell – Little Gull at Par Beach on pond at 1400hrs

Falmouth - Black Redstart at top end of Penryn (Thanks L.Sampson)

Lands End – Ring Ouzel

Nanjizal – *DESERT WHEATEAR* (male) in valley 1/2ml SE of Bosistow Farm still this morning in bulb field 200 yards beyond Faraway cottage. Also Short-eared Owl, Woodlark (7) and Merlin in valley. Snow Bunting over. Also Black Redstart

Wadebridge - CATTLE EGRET opposite wadebridge Sewage works this afternoon. Also GREAT WHITE EGRET in ditches again at Walmsley Sanctuary.

Newquay – probable COMMON CRANE flew over A3075 at Rosecliston at 1pm.

Carylon Bay – Ring-necked Parakeet near Kent Avenue at midday (Thanks D.Cooper)

Marazion – Snow Bunting still on beach

Hayle – Little Stint in SW corner of Lelant Saltings today

Porthgwarra - Siberian type Chiffchaff still at northy end in copse by Trevean Pool. Also Short-eared Owl, Black Redstart and Firecrest

The Lizard – Ring Ouzel at Kynance Cove today.
