Marazion – Probable 1w American Herring Gull on Long Rock Pool

Hayle – Green-winged Teal still at Hayle Estuary from B3301 causeway at 1105hrs. Also 1w RING-BILLED GULL

DriftCattle Egret and Scaup at Drift Reservoir

NewquayCattle Egret (8) reported at Gannel Estuary this evening

Mousehole – Eastern Black Redstart (male) still on rocks at 1135hrs. Use car park by Rock Pool Cafe then walk through cafe & take footpath left to view rocks

Wadebridge – Black Redstart at top of Bridge View by footpath to building site

Monday 19th December 2016 Cornwall Bird Sightings

Penzance*Pacific Diver* on sea east of Jubilee Pool at 1130hrs but distant. Also Velvet Scoter (4), Red-necked Grebe, Black-throated Diver and Great Northern Diver (15)

Hayle – Green-winged Teal (drk) Hayle Estuary from B3301 causeway at 14:50

Sancreed – Cattle Egret (2) still at Sellan Farm

Mousehole – Eastern Black Redstart (male) still on rocks by Rockpool Cafe

DriftBlack-necked Grebe and Scaup at Drift Reservoir

Friday 16th December 2016 Cornwall Bird Sightings

Drift – Ring-necked Duck (2 drk), Cattle Egret (2) and Black-necked Grebe at Drift Reservoir this afternoon

NewquayCattle Egret (2) on Gannel Estuary this evening

Nanjizal – Yellow-browed Warbler (3) at Nanjizal Valley. Lapland Bunting (3) flew over. Keep to public rights of way

St Just – Yellow-browed Warbler at Kenidjack Valley in bushes behind sewage works at midday

Penzance – Black Redstart (male) near railway station

Sunday 11th December 2016 Cornwall Bird Sightings

Hayle – Green-winged Teal still at Hayle Estuary RSPB from B3301 Causeway at 1130hrs. Spoonbill at Carnsew Basin

Polgigga – Yellow-browed Warbler at Bosistow Lane. Lapland Bunting (2) at Arden-Sawah.

Newquay – No sign of Cattle Egrets at Gannel Estuary but Corn Bunting early afternoon. Little Gull and Manx Shearwater off Towan Head early afternoon (Thanks D.Julian)

Feock – Black-necked Grebe (12) and Great Northern Diver (3) in Carrick Roads off Loe Beach (Thanks D.Julian)
