Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Pendeen - 08.00 - 19.20hrs - Sabines Gull (4 juvs), Long-tailed Skua (2), Leach’s Petrel (12+), Grey Phalarope (5), Pom Skua (2), Balearic Sh’water (28), Sooty Sh’water (45), Bonxie (3), Arctic Skua (20+), Arctic Tern (2)
St Ives Island - 08.00 - 18.30hrs - WILSON’S PETREL flew west past at 08.20hrs, plus Sabines Gull (4 juvs), Grey Phalarope (4), Leach’s Petrel (4), Pom Skua (3), Bonxie (15), Arctic Skua (38), Balearic Sh’water (10), Sooty Sh’water (20+), Arctic Tern (3), Med Gull (1).
Cape Cornwall - Leach’s Petrel, Balearic Sh’water (2), Sooty Sh’water (2)
Antony - BLACK KITE over River Lynher at Whacker Quay. This bird may have been in the area for five days. Also Peregrine but no sign of Osprey. (thanks C.Buckland)
