Saturday 13th October 2007 Scilly Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights from the Isles of Scilly include:

St Mary’s - BLACKPOLL WARBLER (2) one on the Garrison along Lane to pottery (thanks L.Proctor); one at Higher Moors by Pumping Station. GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH by Porthloo lane shoiwing occasionally in flight. Probable WILSON’S SNIPE again on Lower Moors between Lower Moors and Primary School in field by footpath. Scandinavian Rock Pipit at Peninnis, 2nd field from end.

Bryher - BLYTH’S REED WARBLER at end of Green Bay by coastal Path and RB Flycatcher (thanks L.Proctor)

Tresco - GREAT WHITE EGRET - flew east over Borough Farm appeared to drop at 11.45hrs.

Plus YB Warblers, Woodchat Shrike, Lapland Bunting, Firecrest, Osprey, wryneck on Islands.
