Todays Birding highlights on the Isles of Scilly include:
St Mary’s - AMERICAN BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT again in field near Pine belt at 16.15hrs. Sabine’s Gull (juv) past Watermill at 16.25hrs. Osprey still at various locations. Yellow-browed Warblers at Carn Friars Farm in Ivy near buildings by road and in willows between Carn Friars and Porth Hellick Down burial chamber. Scaup flew over Porth Hellick. Barred Warbler still Carn Friars Farm buildings in elder. Redwing (11) over Porth Hellick.
St Agnes - Richards Pipit at Wingletang Down behind Pool at 13.30hrs. Lapland Bunting on Wingletang Down at 14.54hrs, Pied Flycatcher (2), Whinchat (1) in Parsonage
Tresco - Pec. Sandpiper still at NW end of Great Pool on Simpson’s field atv 11.15hrs. Jack Snipe at east end of great Pool. Redstart near heliport
Bryher - Wryneck at Rush Bay this afternoon.
