Wednesday 5th March 2008 - Cornwall Bird Reports
Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Drift - *CATTLE EGRET* (12) still in fields at Treganhoe Farm again.
Polgigga - HOOPOE still in gardens opposite duck pond. (Please respect the privacy of residents)
Marazion - Water Pipit still on beach at Red River mouth. Also Slav Grebe (3), BT Diver (2), GN Diver offshore and ‘Siberian’ Chiffchaff on east side of Long rock pool. Sand Martin over RSPB Marsh.
Newlyn - ICELAND GULL (2 juvs) still in harbour
Helston - Yellow-browed Warbler still at Lower Nansloe Farm in willows at entrance track. Also Firecrest (2) and Firecrest at Sewage Works.
Penzance - Purple Sandpiper (37) at Jubilee Pool today and Sandwich Tern at harbour mouth
