Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Gwithian - OSPREY circled St Gothian Sands NR at 0820hrs before flying east along coast. Also Common Sandpiper and Dunlin (P.Freestone)
Record shots of Osprey at Gwithian this morning (P.Freestone)
Marazion - OSPREY flew in off sea then flew east over Marazion at 0720hrs. (Possibly same bird later seen at Gwithian?) Also Whimbrel (5) on beach. (Thanks R.Menari and B.Mellow)
Newquay - OSPREY over hospital flew towards Padstow at 09.50hrs.
Torpoint - NIGHTINGALE still singing by B3247 at Tregantle Fort.
Bodmin - Red Kite between B3254 and Siblyback Reservoir over Craddock Moor early Morning.
Camelford - Red Kite flew over Camelford at 10.15hrs.
Truro - Red Kite flew south over Trispen at 1700hrs.
Stithians Reservoir - Garganey (drk) still on southern cutoff, tho elusive.
