Porthgwarra – DESERT WHEATEAR still at Gwennap Head by coastguard lookout. Yellow-browed Warbler by car park

St Just – DUSKY WARBLER still at Kelynack in copse just east of caravan park

Newquay – AMERICAN WIGEON (2 fem) still on Gannel Estuary.

The Lizard Balearic Shearwater (2) and Great Skua past Lizard Point this morning

MouseholeBalearic Shearwater off Mousehole this evening

MevagisseyPurple Sandpiper on rocks by outter harbour. Pom Skua in Port Mellon bay briefly before being chased out by Herring Gull. Probable Balearic shearwater past this morning. Med Gull past towards Gorran Haven (Thanks J.Dunning)

NewlynSiberian Chiffchaff still at Sandy Cove in willows by tarmac track

FalmouthLong-tailed Duck (1w) and Scaup (2) at Swanpool at 10:20hrs

Gorran Haven – Pomarine Skua (pale ad), Black throated Diver (5) and Kittiwake (50) flew past between 0945-1145hrs (Thanks D.Payne)

    I visited Porth Nanven Tue 30th Dec hoping to see Choughs ( my brother had seen then there a few weeks ago) and I saw what I thought were 2 Redstarts which was not very likely, could they have been Black Redstarts as these were seen in the area early Dec.Back home in Bedfordshire now so can’t go back to check. Would be greatful for your comment.
