Todays Birding highlights from around Cornwall include:

St Ives IslandPurple Sandpiper this morning (thanks M.Rouncefield)

Kingsmill LakeSpoonbill (ad) opposite China Fleet Club then flew up Moditon Creek. Returned to Kingsmill Lake at 18oohrs. (thanks C.Buckland) also Curlew Sandpiper (2)

Torpoint – Med Gull (up to 30 at high tide) (thanks C.Buckland)

Sennen CovePurple Sandpiper (1), Tree Pipit (7)

Camel EstuaryHoney Buzzard flew north over Dinham Flats, Little Egret (39), Greenshank (8), Black-tailed Godwit (5), Bar-tailed Godwit (11)

FalmouthMed Gull (ad and 2nd wint), also Greenshank and Tree pipit.

Wadebridge Merlin (ad fem) at Walmsley Sanctuary CBWPS reserve at 08.00hrs

PendeenWryneck just west of Pendeen in valley 200yrds from coastguards cottages at 10.30hrs
