Christmas Day birding highlights in Cornwall include:
CATTLE EGRETS today were reported from the following sites: St Ives, nr Halsetown (9), Drift, Treganhoe Farm (7), Helston, NW of town by B3302 (7), and between Helston and Porthleven from B3304 (7), Polgigga (1), St Buryan (1)
Cot Valley - *HUME’S WARBLER* by Daisy Cottage for 4th day. This bird was initially thought to be a Yellow-browed Warbler.
Newquay - RING NECKED DUCK (fem) at Porth Reservoir at 15.00hrs
St Austell - PACIFIC DIVER (ad) reported again today of Porthpean plus Slav Grebe, Velvet Scoter (2), BT Diver (6+) and GN Diver (12+)
Hayle Estuary - GW TEAL again in main channel plus Greenshank
