Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Helston - RED-BACKED SHRIKE (juv) still at The Loe on east side of Carminow Creek in bracken and solitary hawthorn, viewed from boardwalk.
The Lizard - ROSE-COLOURED STARLING (juv) still on rooftops at Beacon Terrace with Starlings.
Lands End - YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER still i garden of Swingates House, also Lesser Whitethroat.
Hayle Estuary - Pink-footed Goose and Brent Goose (1)still (it appears that the other Brent’s corpse is out on the estuary) Also Pintail (fem), Little Stint, Grey Plover (1), Knot (4), Ruff (3), Bar-tailed Godwit (12), Black-tailed Godwit (1), Greenshank (3), Common Gull (1st cal) and Sandwich Tern (7)this morning (Thanks J.H.Johns)
Nanquidno - Firecrest in valley today.
Cot Valley - Firecrest in valley this morning
Wadebridge - Garganey (2+) at Walmsley Sanctuary today
Porthgwarra - ROSE-COLOURED STARLING (juv) between Porthgwarra and Polgigga at Rafta Farm tho mobile. MELODIOUS WARBLER still in 60ft Cover nr stone bridge.
Looe - Great-northern Diver still in harbour today (Thanks J.Batey)
Falmouth - Med Gull (2x 1w; 1x 2w and 2 ads) at Gylly Beach this evening. (Thanks S.Bearhop)
