Regarding the Davidstow Airfield sightings today, 10th Sept., as far as I could see most of the species were, by mid-day, extremely flightly and difficult to identify. (Not helped by an extraordinarily unthinking dog-walker who casually strolled right into the area where a possible White-Rumped Sandpiper was feeding, and allowed his dog to defaecate – without picking the it up – despite a number of birdwatchers clearly watching the spot with telescopes).
