Hayle*BLACK-WINGED STILT* (1w) still on Hayle Estuary RSPB. Also Curlew Sandpiper (juv), Little Stint (juv), Med Gull (4), Sandwich Tern (17), Dark-bellied Brent Goose, Wigeon (400+), Teal (150), Little Egret (19), Grey Heron (11), Peregrine (juv), Ringed Plover (50), Grey Plover (partial sum plum), Bar-tailed Godwit (21), Knot, Greenshank (4) and Dunlin (50). Osprey reported at 0800hrs (Thanks M.Beevers)

Reported Black-eared Wheatear at The Lizard yesterday has been re identified from photographs as a Wheatear

    Please can someone explain to me who has decided the black-eared wheatear on the LIzard was a northern – it wasn’t!

    Apologies, bit off topic but for over a week at just outside Mylor at Ennis between three and four flocks of geese around 35/40 fly towards the creek at Restronguet at around 5pm. The weather has not been good enough to identify them but I shall try over the weekend to get a positive id. Their cries are beautiful as they fly over.
