I am interested in this sighting of an Azorean yellow legged gull.
On Tuesday morning while seawatching at Clodgy point St Ives a gull flew past me that I did not recognise and still don’t have a clue what it was.
It was large, close to if not as big as GBB gull. It had a large, all black bill. It appeared very pale in comparison with first and second winter GBBs which were flying past with it. The back and wing coverts were pale grey and the primaries dark.
Thats all I managed to get on it before it continued flying west.
I would be interseted to know what this Sennen bird looked like.
