Thursday 28th August 2008 - Cornwall Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:

Porthgwarra - PECTORAL SANDPIPER on small pool NW of coastguards station until 07.45hrs then on pool north of Car Park this afternoon. Probably the same bird was at Brew Pool, Sennen late afternoon.

Hayle Estuary - Osprey (juv) still this morning on post in main channel. No sign this afternoon.

Nanjizal - Wood Warbler trapped and ringed today. Also Green Sandpiper (Thanks K.Wilson)

Marazion - Pale-bellied Brent Goose (12) off Marazion beach this morning.

Davidstow - Ruff (2) still at Davidstow Airfield this morning.
