Thursday 20th October 2016 Cornwall Bird Sightings

Isabelline Wheatear (P.Freestone)

Godrevy – ISABELLINE WHEATEAR found at Godrevy Point at 1000hrs but  then lost to view. Relocated at 1320hrs but then lost to view. Eventually showed well for the remaineder of the afternoon. This is only the second record for the county, the previous one on The Lizard in 1996 was seen by only a few visiting birders, so this bird was a very welcome addition for most Cornish listers.  (P.Freestone, R. Treeby et al)
