New Years Day Birding highlights in Cornwall include:

Sancreed*CATTLE EGRET* (3) in cattle field at Sellan Farm this morning (Thanks D.Flumm)

St Ives**SNOWY OWL* again on moor south of Zennor at Sperris Quoit also Hen Harrier, Woodcock and Merlin (Thanks C.Buckland). *CATTLE EGRET* (2) in cattle field at Halsetown at junction with Old Coach Road and B3311. Balearic Shearwater in Carbis Bay this afternoon (Thanks R.James)

Helston RING-BILLED GULL (2) still on boating lake. Also Yellow-browed Warbler, Firecrest (3) and ‘Siberian’ Chiffchaff (3+) at sewage works. (Thanks C.Buckland)

Penzance – BN Grebe still in Sandy Cove, Newlyn and Swallow (2) at Heliport (Thanks C.Buckland).
