Helston **BUFFLEHEAD**(fem/juv) still at Loe Pool at north end late morning, tho distant. Also Bittern in reeds by hide. Access west off A394 on Degibna Lane from just north of A3083 roundabout then walk north from NT car park. (Thanks W.Chegwidden). Swallow over sewage works.  Also Siberian type Chiffchaff (2) with Chiffchaff (15). no sign of Egyptian Goose at boating lake (Thanks N.Tonge et al)

Bodmin Moor – probable *LESSER SCAUP* (drk) still at Dozmary pool at dusk tho distant

Wadebridge*GLOSSY IBIS* (1w) still at Chapel Amble in flooded field opposite car park late afternoon, showing well

SennenHen Harrier (ringtail) at Trinity Pool this afternoon. Little Gull in cover (Sennen Cove Birdwatching)

LooeBlack Redstart still at Hannafore Point at west end of Promenade . Slav Grebe offshore

BudePurple Sandpiper (2) with Turnston (4) and Ringed Plover. Also Kingfisher, Skua sp flew west over sea (Thanks H.Kendall)

Penzance Long-tailed Duck still off railway station. BT Diver (2), GN Diver, Slav Grebe (2), Little Gull (2w) and Eider (3) in Mounts bay

MarazionBittern at Marazion Marsh RSPB still at west end at long rock pool. Water Pipit still on beach by red river mouth (Thanks W.Renshaw)

Carbis Bay – Balearic Shearwater (2) still in Carbis Bay. Also GN Diver (3)

St Austell – no sign of Ring-necked Duck at Par Beach Pool but Water Pipit (2) on beach

    Hi all,
    Just to let you know for your records/bird report, I found the juvenile Swallow at Helston Sewage Works at around 12:00 on Thursday 19th January, and passed the info on to Bird Guides. I was with Chris Baines, Mike Warner, and Lee Evans (who passed it on to RBA).
