Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:

Drift *CATTLE EGRET*(12) today in fields north of reservoir

Wadebridge RED KITE over Dinham Flats at 08.30hrs and Whimbrel (20) (thanks C.Selway)

HayleRED KITE flew east over Copperhouse Creek at 09.20hrs

Sennen GLAUCOUS GULL off lifeboat Station this morning and Sandwich Tern (18). Also Ring Ouzel at Mayon Cliff and Hoopoe at Brew Pool late afternoon (possibly this mornings Nanjizal bird?)

PenzanceRING-BILLED GULL in ploughed field along A30 between Marazion roundabout and Varfell this evening

Truro – Hoopoe at Ruan Lanihorne by Ruan river near junction with Lamorran road (Thanks L and P.Bailey)

GwithianAvocet still at dusk on main pool at St Gothian Sands, also Green Sandpiper flew high to west and Wheatear (4). Black Tern (4) and Common Tern (22) on beach and Black Tern (4) with 20-30 ‘comic’ Terns offshore. (P.Freestone and S.Taylor)

NanjizalHoopoe in valley on walls by Nanjizal House this morning. Also Snow Goose (2 white morph) of unknown origin flew east towards St Levan at 10.00hrs and Little ringed Plover flew over this afternoon.

St JustBlack Tern (2) at Cape Cornwall this afternoon.

Lands EndRedstart reported this morning.

NanquidnoICELAND GULL flew up valley this morning.

St BuryanICELAND GULL (imm) off Logan Rock this afternoon
