Thursday 13th December 2007 – Cornwall Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:

Boscathnoe ReservoirYB Warbler still on north side in trees on causeway between tanks.

Hayle EstuaryGW Teal (drk) still off B3301 causeway plus DB Brent Goose, Greenshank and Med Gull (ad and 2x 2w)

Falmouth Med Gull (2 ads) flew upstream along Penryn River early morning. Plus one at Swanpool Car park.

Mullion*CATTLE EGRET* still at Crosslanes in field opposite Skewes Farm this afternoon.

Drift/Sancreed*CATTLE EGRET* (3) still in cattle field west of Treganhoe Farm entrance track. SW.428.291

Siblyback Reservoir*CATTLE EGRET* (4) still in cattle fields opposite car park.

Millbrook LakeSpoonbill (2 juvs) briefly early afternoon then flew north. Plus GN Diver (2), Med Gull (1), Pale-bellied Brent Goose (9) and Dark-bellied Brent Goose (7).

SennenIceland Gull (1w) on Cowloe briefly at midday then flew south towards Lands End.

St Gothian Sands NRWater Pipit still on flashes at seaward end, plus Little Gull (1w) still. (thanks C.Yates)
