Sunday 31st August 2008 - Cornwall Bird Reports

Todays birding highlights in Cornwall include:

WadebridgeRed necked/Little Stint at Walmsley Sanctuary this morning until 10.20hrs when it flew towards Dinham Flats. No further sightings up to 15.00hrs. Bird relocated at Davidstow Airfield late afternoon and still present at 19.40hrs tho very mobile. Still awaits positive identification.

St Agnes - ROSE-COLOURED STARLING still in private garden, west of B3277 Penwinnick Road on aerial in Durning Road at midday(Thanks M.Harris)

Hayle Estuary - RING-BILLED GULL (2w) in main channel this afternoon. Also Osprey still.

Porthgwarra - MELODIOUS WARBLER (2) in bracken at 60 foot cover viewed from hairpin bend.

Rame Head - Osprey over at 14.oohrs.  Also Hobby.

Torpoint - Osprey at St John’s Lake at 16.00hrs (may well be Rame bird)
