Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:

Mevagissey - wholly unconfirmed report of a small thrush possibly fitting description of Northern Waterthrush in a private garden in Mevagissey today. No further information available at this time.

St Austell - SURF SCOTER off beach between Carlyon Bay and Spit Beaches at 12.45hrs (thanks N.Best)

Tamar Bird Cruise - Red-throated Diver (1), Little Egret (50), RB Merganser (6), Avocet (210), Black-tailed Godwit (89), Spotted Redshank (1), Common Sandpiper (2). (thanks B.Taggart)

Falmouth - Med Gull (ad) at Penryn Asda car park this afternoon.

Antony - Spoonbill (6) on River Lynher at Black Rock at plus RT Diver (1) and RB Merganser (6)

Drift - *CATTLE EGRET* (2) still in cattle field at farm along Chyenal Road, viewed distantly from Sancreed Beacon at 08.15hrs. (Cornwall Birding)

St Buryan - *CATTLE EGRET* north of  B3284 in cattle field opposite Higher Trevorian in field with cattle in front house with white side at 08.30hrs (Cornwall Birding)

Penzance - Purple Sandpiper (30) on rocks over harbour wall from Jubilee Pool plus Common Scoter (20+) offshore(Cornwall Birding)

Hayle Estuary - Green-winged Teal (drk) still from causeway in main channel, plus Med Gull (ad)

Marazion - PACIFIC DIVER (ad) again in Mounts Bay off lifeguard hut this afternoon.

The Lizard - Whooper Swan again at Croft Pascoe Pool this afternoon

St Gothian Sands NR - Little Gull (1w) again on main pool at 15.00hrs.
