St.Buryan - *BLACK KITE* flew east over St.Buryan at 1215hrs. Also Red Kite (P.St Pierre)
Polgigga – *BLACK KITE* between Polgigga and Trebehor late afternoon
St.Austell - *SQUACCO HERON* still at Par at Snowland Fisheries, showing well. Park only by Block and wood wall on right
The Lizard – BEE-EATER (2) flew east over The Lizard. Also Red Kite
Bodmin - BEE-EATER (2+) on Bodmin moor east of St.Breward flew over Penwood house at 1650hrs
Wadebridge - Possible SOLITARY SANDPIPER this evening at walmsley sanctuary, tho very elusive. Also Ashy Headed Wagatil M.f. cinereocapilla and Hobby (Thanks C.Selway)
St.Just – Red Kite (5) flew over Chapel Carn Brea between 1400hrs and 1410hrs, another (5) at 1445hrs (Thanks S.Sargeant) Red Kite 3 miles SE of St.Just flew over at 1150hrs. Red Kite (4) flew over Bartinney downs this morning
Lands End - Turtle Dove (2) at Treeve common. Also Red Kite flew over at 1000hrs
Goonhavern - Red Kite flew low over field near Goonhavern (Thanks C and J Keast)
Red Kites still very evident in the county today with birds (including ones mentioned already) reported from The Lizard (2), Bartinney Downs (3), Grumbla (2), Sancreed Beacon (2), Heamoor (1), Townsend (4), Goonhavern (1), Sennen (1), Skewjack(1), Chapel Carn Brea (5), Trezelah (6), Nanquidno (1), St Buryan (1), St Just (5), Land’s End (1) and Ludgvan (1). This makes a total of 29 birds reported today although some records no doubt relate to the same individauls being reported at different sites.
