Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Sennen - TAWNY PIPIT again in ploughed field south of school. SW.362.258.
Marazion - ROSEATE TERN (2), Little Tern, Arctic Tern (13),Common Tern(6) and Sandwich Tern (4) off Long Rock beach this morning (Thanks M.Rouncefield, M.Halliday et al)
Torpoint - NIGHTINGALE singing again at Tregantle Fort today (Thanks C.Buckland)
Hayle - Hobby SW over Upton Towans this afternoon (Thanks T&A Polglase)
Wadebridge - Birds on the Camel Trail today included: Lesser Whitethroat (1) singing at Dennis Hill, Yellow Wagtail flew over Old Town Cove, Cuckoo calling at Cant Hill, Grey Partridge (1) at Tregonce. Also, Little Egret(28), Mute Swan (35) (plus a brood of eight cygnets), Shelduck (52), Whimbrel (16) and Common Sandpiper (Thanks D.Julian)
Land’s End - Hobby over and Whinchat (2) and Spotted Flycatcher (15+) along cycle track this morning. Also Tree Pipit (2) over.
