Todays seawatching produced extreme numbers of Grey Phalaropes, including up to one hundred birds on the sea at Sennen Cove. Highlights elsewhere include:

Porthgwarra – Grey Phalarope (3), Balearic Shearwater (3), Sooty Shearwater (11), probable Cory’s Shearwater, Pom Skua (7), Arctic Skua (21) and Storm Petrel (2) (Seawatch SW)

Sennen – Grey Phalarope (c100) reported off Cowloe this evening. Also Balearic Shearwater, Sooty Shearwater (14), Storm Petrel (6), Great Skua (5), Arctic Skua and Black Tern (4)

St Agnes Head – Leach’s Petrel flew past at 16.30hrs. Also Balearic Shearwater, Sooty Shearwater (2) and Brent Goose (9)

Pendeen – Grey Phalarope (60+), Leach’s Petrel, SABINES GULL (2), Sooty Shearwater (45) and Great skua (10)
