Saturday 5th November 2011 Cornwall Bird Reports

Marazion *WHITE STORK* flew east over Plain-an-Gwarry. Also Black Redstart (2). GREAT-WHITE EGRET at Marazion Marsh RSPB flew into reed bed early afternoon, til 1450hrs then flew west. Also Bittern over reeds. Also Firecrest (1+). Snow Bunting on beach (Thanks A.O.Folkestad, V.Stratton et al)

Nanjizal PALLAS’S WARBLER trapped and ringed in valley

St IvesFirecrest (3) still at Penbeagle behind fire station this morning. Wheatear on island still. BT Diver flew into bay, Med Gull (ad) and Kittiwake (100+) (Thanks V.Stratton et al)

HayleMed Gull several and Pintail (male+fem) on Hayle estuary this morning but no sign of reported Caspian Gull. Little Gull (ad W) on Copperhouse Creek then flew off towards A30 at c1430hrs, possibly present 3 days (Thanks M.Burnley)
