Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall today include:

Tehidy Country Park - probable**HUME’S LEAF WARBLER** still around pond west of cafe.

Cot Valley - **HUME’S LEAF WARBLER** still at top end of valley near Daisy Cottage.

Drift - *CATTLE EGRET* (8) still in fields at Treganhoe Farm this morning

Saltash - Avocet (54), Spotted Redshank (3+), Wigeon (55), Teal (56), Lapwing (116), Common Snipe (9), Black-tailed Godwit (17) and Greenshank (12) at Kingsmill Lake this morning (thanks R.McCarthy)

Stithians - Bittern again on southern cutoff, Goosander (2), Goldeneye (5) and GC Grebe (thanks S.Taylor)

College Reservoir - Possible hybrid American X European Wigeon this afternoon plus Goosander (3), Goldeneye (1), Common Snipe (1), Woodcock (1), Marsh Tit (1) Jackdaw (300+) in to roost at dusk (thanks H.Cook)

Gwithian - Little Gull (1w) still on main pool at St Gothian Sands NR. Water Pipit briefly this morning. (thanks J.H.Johns, D.Parker et al)

Hayle Estuary - Dipper flew west off Estuary from near causeway bridge this morning, also GLAUCOUS GULL (1w), Black-tailed Godwit (1) and Golden Plover (100+) (thanks J.H.Johns) Plus Avocet and Med Gull (1w) this evening (Cornwall Birding)

St Ives Island - Balearic Shearwater (1) past at 1500hrs. Also Purple Sandpiper and Black Redstart on rocks near Coastguard watchpoint. (Cornwall Birding)

St Colomb Major - Hen Harrier (ringtail) and Short-eared Owl at 0800hrs today at Rosenannon Downs.

Gillan - ICELAND GULL at Gillan Creek this morning.

Coverack - Little Egret (8), Common Sandpiper (1) and Med Gull (2 ads) in bay viewed from Harbour wall.

Wadebridge - Little gull (1w) and Med Gull (2w)at Dinham Flats at 1400hrs.

Newlyn - Black-necked Grebe (2) still in harbour.
