RSPB Summer ’08 Events in Cornwall

Join the RSPB this summer at events throughout cornwall and the Isles of Scilly: 

Sun – Fri until Wed 10 September 10.30 – 16.00hrs
Meet the RSPB at our Land’s End Discovery Centre family event.
Get close up views of some of the wonderful wildlife on the Cornish coast, including gannets, fulmars, shags and if you are lucky, dolphins and basking sharks with the help of RSPB staff and powerful telescopes at our cliff top Wildlife Discovery Centre at Lands End. Stunning views! Free entry to Discovery Centre. Car park charge for the Land’s End visitor site. Contact the RSPB, 01392 432691.

Migrating Birds walk at RSPB Marazion Marsh nature reserve
West Cornwall is well known as a place to see rare birds and unusual migrants. (This is historically ‘Aquatic Warbler’ weekend!) Meet at reserve entrance (SW 514312) opposite the small private car park. Members £1, non-members £1.50. Contact the RSPB, 01392 432691.

Sun 31 August – Fri 12 September 10 am-4 pm
Aren’t Birds Brilliant! Tresco Abbey Gardens.
Join the RSPB on Tresco, Isles of Scilly, for this two-week event, which includes regular guided walks to look for wading birds at the Great Pool and Abbey Pool. See linnets and stonechats on the heathlands, and garden birds in tranquil surroundings. This is a partnership project with Tresco Abbey Gardens. There is an entrance charge for the Gardens.
