A relatively quiet December week in the county.Â Two Swallows were atÂ Coronation Park, Wadebridge on the 7th and one was at Treen on the 11th. The Pacific Diver was at HayleÂ up to theÂ 9th.Â Balearic Shearwaters were reported from Rumps Point (6) and Cape Cornwall (21) on the 7th. GN Divers reported from all the regular haunts. The Velvet Scoter remained off Eastern Green, Penzance all week and up to 15 Med Gull were on the Hayle Estuary. Black Redstarts remained in good numbers including three at St Ives Island. Goosanders were at Crowdy and Stithians Reservoirs on the 9th and a Firecrest was at Cot Valley on that date. Elsewhere, three Balearic Shearwaters flew past St Ives Island early morning.
A Water Pipit was at Treraven Meadows, Wadebridge on the 9th. Spoonbills were at Rat Island on the river Lynher (4) and also at Dinham Flats (2).
