Monday 4th February 2008 – Cornwall Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:

Tehidy Country Park – **HUME’S LEAF WARBLER** still near cafe tho elusive.

St Austell – probable *PACIFIC DIVER* again off Porthpean also BT Diver (4), GN Diver (22) and Slav Grebe (2).

Drift – *CATTLE EGRET* (14+)  still in fields at Treganhoe Farm

Stithians Reservoir – *CATTLE EGRET* (2) in muddy field west reservoir viewed from Golden Lion cutoff. RING-NECKED DUCK (fem) still on Golden Lion cutoff and Bittern again at southern cutoff (thanks S.Taylor)

Newquay – *CATTLE EGRET*(5) still at Trennistick Farm in field near Crantock Plains Campsite at 130hrs.

Newlyn ICELAND GULL (3) still in harbour. Also BN Grebe still and GN Diver.

Siblyback ReservoirGoosander (2) and Kingfisher this morning (thanks J.Batey)
