Todays Birdwatching highlights in Cornwall include:

Hayle Estuary SPOONBILL (juv) until 15.20hrs. Red-breasted Merganser (fem) in main channel at high tide, Little Tern  (5), Common Tern (3), Little Egret (8), Common Sandpiper (5+), Med Gull (Ad, 2nd Sum and Juvs). (P.Freestone) Also Curlew Sandpiper reported this morning on Carnsew Pool and Crossbill over late afternoon (J.Hanlon)

PadstowMed Gull (27) in ploughed field behind dunes at Tregirls beach. Also Med Gull (6) and Sandwich Tern (16) off Padstow (Thanks D.Julian)

Gwithian Wood Sandpiper still at St Gothian Sands this morning (Thanks C.Yates)

Wadebridge Scaup (eclipse drk) still at Walmsley Sanctuary

PenzanceMed Gull (ad, 2x 2s and 9 juvs) between Eastern Green beach and Marazion this afternoon.

Stithians Reservoir Little Egret (1), Little Ringed Plover (1), Ringed Plover (1), Lapwing (1), Common Sandpiper (5), Snipe (1), Shoveler (6), Teal (4), Greenshank (1) and Little Grebe (11) (Thanks S.Taylor and D.Eva)

FalmouthMed Gull (6) at west end of Gyllinvase Beach this afternoon.
