Todays Birdwatching highlights in Cornwall include:
Hayle - ROSE-COLOURED STARLING (ad) reported again on Penpol Road between viaduct and Philp’s Pasty Shop this morning.
Hayle Estuary - Common Sandpiper (4), Black-tailed Godwit (4), Whimbrel, Dunlin (3), Redshank (40+) on main Estuary. Also Wood Sandpiper and Med Gull (2nd Sum) on Copperhouse Creek this morning. Med Gull (ad and 2nd sum), Kingfisher and Whimbrel (2) in Ryans Field this evening.
Wadebridge - Med Gull (2nd sum) by Town Bridge late morning. Also Scaup, 61 Redshank, 10 Common Sandpiper, 418 Curlew, 4 Whimbrel, 4 Greenshank, 37 Dunlin, 1 Knot, 1 Ruff, 31 Little Egret and 739 Black-headed Gull on Camel Estuary.(per D.Julian)
Torpoint - Med Gull (41) on St Johns Lake from Marine Drive this afternoon.
Sennen - Med Gull (2 ads, 2x 2nd sum and juv) in Cove today.
Porthgwarra - Purple Sandpiper and Whimbrel (3) at Gwennap Head today
Stithians - Common Sandpiper (2) at reservoir (thanks S.Taylor)
