Lands End*CATTLE EGRET* (2) at Trevilley Farm at 17.00hrs then flew north.

HayleRed Kite flew SW over Lelant this afternoon with Common Buzzard (Thanks M.Halliday)

Newlyn – possible hybrid Spotted x Common Sandpiper at mouth of stream by Tolcarne Inn. Also Common Sandpiper (2)

DevoranSpotted Redshank at Tallacks Creek again today (overwintered) (Thanks M.May)

MarazionWhite Wagtail (9) on beach today.

    Was anyone able to make a definite identification of the large hawk/owl(?) which was seen perching for quite a while, in a tree in the Marazion Marshes on Monday 20th April late morning? It was very light in plumage, almost looked grey/buff with quite indistinct markings, from where we watched it, but the tail was definitely dark in colour.Other people also noticed it, but no-one seemed to know exactly what it was, even after consulting a bird identification book…
