Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
The Lizard - WOODCHAT SHRIKE west of The Lizard at Caerthillian Cove. Follow track west from the village then follow footpath to bottom towards stream and turn left towards coast path for 200yrds.
Cot Valley - GOLDEN ORIOLE (male) singing in garden just east of Cot Manor this afternoon tho elusive.
Torpoint - NIGHTINGALE Singing male still present in scrub at Tregantle Fort at 1700hrs (Thanks R.Smaldon)
St Just - Hoopoe flew over Manor Farm at Botallock this morning.
Looe - Red Kite over Trefanny Hill (5 miles North of Looe) at 08.30am (Thanks D.Bush)
Porthgwarra - Red Kite flew over at 09.30hrs. Merlin nearby west of Polgigga.
Hayle Estuary - Med Gull (1st sum), Black-tailed Godwit (1), Bar-tailed Godwit (8+), Whimbrel (9) and Dunlin (58) this morning. (P.Freestone)
Penzance - Purple Sandpiper (18) on rocks at Jubilee Pool
