Monday 12th April 2010 Cornwall Bird Reports

A very quiet day with none of the previous days rarities seen.

TruroRed Kite circling over Trellisick Gardens at 10.15hrs then possibly the same bird flew east over church mid-morning.

Goss MoorRed Kite over at 16.50hrs (Thanks S.Wilcock)

PenzancePurple Sandpiper (35+) on rocks at Jubilee Pool

St JustRing Ouzel (2) on cliffs at Botallack.

The LizardRed Kite, Dartford Warbler, Ring Ouzel (male) and Tree Pipit (3) at Windmill Farm NR. no sign of Balearic Woodchat Shrike. (Thanks D.Chaney) Also  Short-eared Owl at Kynance today (T.Blunden per CBWPS)

Rumps PointManx Shearwater (600+) and Sandwich Tern (2) past Rumps Point (Thanks C.Selway)

St.IvesRing Ouzel (6) at Buttermilk Hill (Thanks V.Stratton)

LannerTWITE (2 possibly 3) reported at Carn Marth this morning (Thanks K.Glazier)
