Friday 25th April 2008 – Cornwall Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:

Hayle – *CATTLE EGRET* (2) at Lelant Saltings at 06.45hrs (thanks L.Proctor) then flew S at 08.00hrs and relocated in field south of A30 viewed from under A30 overbridge at Ryan’s Field Car Park. (P.Freestone and R.Menari). Also RING-BILLED GULL reported again from Lelant Saltings at 07.15hrs and Med Gull (1st sum).

Drift – *CATTLE EGRET* (9) in fields at Treganhoe Farm today

Penzance – *CATTLE EGRET* (16) still east of Newmill at Boscreege Farm today.

St Agnes – *PALLAS’S WARBLER* male still near St Agnes Methodist Church today, showing well.

Redruth -Probable GREAT GREY SHRIKE in horse paddocks at Croft Handy, St Day (Thanks C&D Braddon)

NewlynIceland Gull again in harbour and Purple Sandpiper (2)
