Friday 23rd May 2008 – Cornwall Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:

Bodmin Moor – **BLACK DUCK** NE of St Breward and South of Brown Willy Down flushed from pools at Butters Tor Moor.

Wadebridge – possible *HUDSONIAN WHIMBREL* at Dinham Flats. Also Whimbrel and Wood Sandpiper. GARGANEY still at Walmsley Sanctuary.

Lands End HONEY BUZZARD circled over Treeve Common at 1035hrs before flying out to sea. Also Merlin.

St AustellYellow-legged Gull (ad) near Hewas Water in field at 07.15hrs

Torpoint NIGHTINGALE still singing in scrub at Tregantle Fort near entrance.
