Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:

Helston*LESSER SCAUP* (fem) still at Helston Boating Lake this morning.

NewquayROSE-COLOURED STARLING still this morning in bushes behind 27 Penhallow Road Newquay. Use access track beside 27 Penhallow Road. 

CanonstownWoodlark still in stubble field south of A30 at Canonstown.

SennenYB Warbler trapped at Brew Pool this morning. Also Firecrest (2), Brambling (2) and Lesser Redpoll (2). Mealy Redpoll still along path to Brew sewage works.

Marazion – PB Brent Goose (11) in Mount’s Bay. Also Firecrest, Chiffchaff (4), Water Rail (4) and Water Pipit at Marazion Marsh. (Thanks D.Flumm)

DownderryFirecrest in private garden in Downderry. Also Black redstart at Seaton. GN DIver offshore and three birds flew west this morning. (Thanks A.Payne)

LostwithielRed Kite flew over Duchy Nurseries at 12.20hrs.

Falmouth Firecrest in willows behind Swanpool at 13.00hrs. Also Med Gull (2).

Hayle Black Redstart (2) at Lelant Saltings housing estate at 16.00hrs.
