Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Truro - **ARCTIC REDPOLL** reported in private garden feeding on niger seed with Goldfinches mid morning. (thanks S.Irwin)
Tehidy - **HUME’S LEAF WARBLER** still in scrub at back of cafe
Drift - *CATTLE EGRET* (10) at Treganhoe Farm today.
Stithians - *CATTLE EGRET* still at Golden Lion Cutoff. RING-BILLED GULL (1w) still at southern end. (thanks H.Cook)
Helston - Long-tailed Duck (fem/1w) still at Loe Pool. Goldeneye and Water Rail also. (thanks R.Menari)

Any more info on the Arctic Redpoll. Potentially first for the county.

Well spotted Steve! This would be the second reported Arctic roll to get away this winter in Cornwall.
REPLY: We recieved this unconfirmed report after the event and tried to get confirmation of its identity before puting the news out. The bird was not seen again and the finder did not want to disclose where her garden was.
