Pelagic II – 15th August 09

The twelve on board the Golden Princess scored again with two WILSON’S STORM PETRELS. The first 7 miles NNW of St Ives again off the back of the boat with European Storm-petrels (30+) and another about 3.5 miles from land. The SW winds were not favourable for Shearwaters on the north coast and only three Manx Shearwaters were seen. The chum pulled in plenty of commoner seabirds with Gannets, Gulls and Fulmars in abundance.
