Wednesday 10th October 2007 – Scilly Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights from the Isles of Scilly include:

St Mary’s ***BLACKPOLL WARBLER*** still on the Garrison between football pitch and campsite at 10.10hrs. Presumably the same bird at seaward end of Porth Hellick Pool in evening. YB Warbler and 2 Firecrest at seaward end of Porth Hellick Pool. Barred Warbler still in gardens below Buzza Tower at 10.40hrs. YB Warbler still at Carreg Dhu Gardens and Lesser Whitethroat. Great Northern Diver (sum.plum.ad) in The Roads and showing well. Woodchat Shrike (juv) still by Pelistry Lane.

St Agnes Common Rosefinch at Troy Town at 11.15hrs. YB Warbler in the Parsonage still

Tresco Osprey flew towards Great Pool at 09.55hrs. Pec Sand still on Great Pool at 11.15hrs.

Bryher – probable American Golden Plover in Great Popplestones Bay at 12.30hrs flew off early afternoon.
