Tuesday 18th September 2007 – Scilly Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights on the Isles of Scilly include:

St Mary’s Buff-breasted Sandpiper (2) still on Golf Course on 5th Fairway. Med Gull (ad) at Taylors Island, Porthloo again. Osprey at Porth Hellick Pool in tree from seaward hide at 12.10hrs. Pectoral Sandpiper (juv) still at 17.45hrs on Lower Moors and SPOTTED SANDPIPER (juv) still Porth Hellick Pool this evening.

Bryher Red-backed Shrike in fields north of Samson Hill Farm

TrescoCITRINE WAGTAIL (1st wint) still in Paddocks west of Great Pool at 11.30hrs.

St Martin’sWoodchat Shrike still above Wine Cove on Turfy Hill and Arctic Skua flew SW over Top Rock Hill this afternoon
