Sunday 14th October 2007 – Scilly Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights from the Isles of Scilly include:

St Mary’sBLACKPOLL WARBLER still on the Garrison by track to Pottery and showing well. Short-toed Lark on Airfield between windsock and end of runway. RUSTIC  BUNTING along Pungies Lane in 2nd field on left past turn to Macfarland Down at 16.5hrs.

St AgnesRose-coloured Starling (juv) at NW end on beach at Periglis Cove.

BryherBLYTH’S REED WARBLER still at south end of Green Bay tho elusive.

Western RocksRADDE’S WARBLER 2.5mls SW of St Agnes on Rosevear, plus Wryneck and YB Warbler

TrescoBuzzard flew north over Dolphin Town at 15.10hrs. GREAT WHITE EGRET flew to small island between Tresco and south end of Bryher late afternoon.
