Todays Birding highlights from the Isles of Scilly include:
St Mary’s – BLACKPOLL WARBLER still on the Garrison by track to Pottery and showing well. Short-toed Lark on Airfield between windsock and end of runway. RUSTICÂ BUNTING along Pungies Lane in 2nd field on left past turn to Macfarland Down at 16.5hrs.
St Agnes – Rose-coloured Starling (juv) at NW end on beach at Periglis Cove.
Bryher – BLYTH’S REED WARBLER still at south end of Green Bay tho elusive.
Western Rocks – RADDE’S WARBLER 2.5mls SW of St Agnes on Rosevear, plus Wryneck and YB Warbler
Tresco – Buzzard flew north over Dolphin Town at 15.10hrs. GREAT WHITE EGRET flew to small island between Tresco and south end of Bryher late afternoon.
