Scilly Birder in Antarctic Cruise Disaster

Nearly 100 holidaymakers, including 23 Britons, have been rescued from the Antarctic Ocean after abandoning ship when their cruise liner hit a submerged iceberg and began to sink. Im sure you are all aware of this story now. Resident Scilly birder Bob Flood was on board the sinking ship but fortunately he and all of the other staff and passengers are safe and well after escaping onto lifeboats. Unfortunately, all of Bobs camera equipment and footage from the trip were lost to the icy waters when the ship went down. Best wishes to Bob, who at least will now be around in August to run the Scilly Pelagics!
