Scillonian III Pelagic

Todays all day Pelagic on board the Scillonian III appears to have got off to a bad start with the boat having to dock at St Mary’s, IOS. A passenger on board fainted, banged their head and needed medical attention! Four Cory’s Shearwaters had been seen up to 0900hrs.

Other species seen were: Great Shearwater, Grey Phalarope, Great and Arctic Skua, Manx Shearwater, Sooty Shearwater and Storm Petrel. A single Wilson’s Petrel was seen by a handful of birders. (Thanks S.Taylor)
